Alan Stiver got in touch with glass making in 2010, and has been fascinated ever since. He took lessons in glass blowing for a couple of years, but ultimately stopped doing it to focus on his job as a physiotherapist and save money, since renting studio time and paying for courses with glass blowing masters is very expensive.
He later got inspired by the cold glass works of Toland Sand, John Kuhn, and Jack Storms. Alan then bought his first machines and started to work with cold glass in the summer of 2022. Through his contacts and the help of other artists and people in the glass industry, Alan produces his mesmerizing glass works whenever he can find some time to do so.
Alan is committed and looking forward to working with glass and wants to elevate his production process with a new studio and bigger and better machines in the future.
