Carolin Zibulka was born in Kevelaer, Germany in 1988.

The glass pictures she creates today are based on a glass coating technique that her father created and passed on to her. In recent years she has developed this technique further and found her very own style.

Carolin called the new technique "lava coating" because the structures that can be found in most of her pictures are reminiscent of flowing lava. She attaches great importance to the fact that each of her works of art is unique and is always experimenting with different colours, shapes and structures.

Her innovative technique allows her to apply different materials in layers directly to the glass, which creates impressive colour effects and remarkable depth.

Carolin does not want to make any concrete statements with her art. Instead, she invites the viewer to find their own interpretation and perhaps even discover memories and feelings.
