Sabine Menninger-Gerdes grew up in Bochum. She works as a freelance artist and has lived in the north of Germany for 30 years. She can be found in her studio as often as possible, because she couldn't imagine a life without painting.

Sabine works with powerful water and cloud landscapes, inspired by nature and preferably abstract. She sees herself as a kind of storyteller and invites the viewer to discover their own story in her paintings.

Her series of works "Elsewhere" is not based on a series of photographs, but rather by internalizing the natural beauty, which is then atmospherically translated onto canvas. Her style is now unmistakable.

Sabine works mainly with acrylic paints and always incorporates different material mixtures. Experimental openness and spontaneity for changes in the process are very important to her and her artistic freedom in painting. In the process of creating the painting, the places where the action takes place consciously take a back seat, and her vivid memories come to the fore.

Every new painting is always a special moment for her.

Her works are shown in solo and group exhibitions as well as at art fairs in Germany.
